Improving outcomes for people with dementia in Croydon
We are proud to launch our latest flagship appeal to help to provide a peaceful, safe space for those living with dementia.
Through our Memory Lane Garden appeal, we want to raise £160,000 to bring a piece of home to hospital, transforming part of Croydon University Hospital into a much-needed, therapeutic garden for elderly patients and those with a dementia diagnosis, who are receiving care in Croydon.
As well as supporting physical recovery, the garden offers a therapeutic environment for patients, helping to reduce stress and improve their overall wellbeing, as well as offering a welcoming, calming space for families, allowing them to connect with loved ones, recount old memories and reminisce in a serene and supportive non-clinical space.
But to do this, we need your help. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly contribute to creating this vital resource for dementia care and support the emotional wellbeing of patients, helping to reduce agitation and providing them with a safe, space to enjoy time outdoors, creating a home from home environment for some of Croydon’s most vulnerable patients.
By donating to Croydon Health Charity’s Memory Lane Garden appeal, you’re helping to create a space that will bring comfort and joy to people living with dementia for years to come.
